The Book Fair will be open to the public on Wednesday, October 21st, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. We're looking for book fairies to help make this event a success. What is a Book Fairy? Their gifts help cover the cost of a book (up to $20) for students who may not have money for the fair or need just a littl

We have an exciting day planned for this Friday, September 18th! Join us for Toqwa'q Culture (Grand Entry at 10:00 a.m.) and our annual Open House immediately after (11:00 a.m. to noon). Both events will be held outside, weather permitting. We will be serving hotdogs, salads, cupcakes and more at the Open House. HOLIDAY SCHEDULE UPDATE After considering the feedback received from directors and Council members, LMG has decided to reinstate the original holiday schedule. Accordingly, all LMG offices, including Alaqsite'w Gitpu School, will be closed on Wednesday, September 30th, and Thursday, October 1st, as originally scheduled. The staff of the Listuguj Education Directorate are deeply saddened by the passing of our colleague and friend, Joe Sark. Joe was a valued member of our team, working as a school bus driver for 45 years. He transported generations of Listugujewa’q to and from school, becoming a cherished part of their school-time memories. May 5th is Red Dress Day, also known as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People. In Canada, Indigenous women, girls and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community continue to face disproportionate amounts of violence. The Alaqsite'w Gitpu School is hosting a bottle drive in these days leading up to Earth Day, April 22nd. The class with the most bottles collected will win a pizza party generously donated by Mr. Chad. Bottles only. No cans, please. Let's work together to keep our planet and community clean. This Earth Day, we want to hear our students' ideas on how to make AGS a greener school. How can we reduce our waste? Improve our recycling efforts? Use energy more sustainably? Each class is invited to create a one-page proposal by Earth Day, April 22nd, and submit it to Ms. Joanna.

The Alaqsite'w Gitpu School has rescheduled Siggw Culture Day to Friday, April 10th. The community is welcome to join us in the gym at 10:00 a.m. to cheer on our dancers and drummers.

We're taking Graduation photos this Thursday, March 19, 2026 for Nursery and Grade 8. This is the only time available for photos, and there will be no retakes. All attire is provided, cap, gown, shirts, etc.
