Join us for this year's Pride Walk on Wednesday, June 3rd, starting at 8:20 a.m. We will gather at the Powwow Grounds and walk toward AGS. Busses will drop off students who wish to participate at the Powwow Grounds before 8:20 a.m. Parents may do the same if their child does not take the bus. Thank you for your cooperation!

We're hosting a Makers' Market on Friday, May 8th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Our students will be making and selling their own products. May 5th is Red Dress Day, also known as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People. In Canada, Indigenous women, girls and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community continue to face disproportionate amounts of violence. Please help us raise awareness of gendered violence by wearing red on Tuesday, May 5th.

Welcome to Nursery! Join us for a Welcome to Nursery Orientation on Friday, May 15th, 2026 at the Alaqsite'w Gitpu School. This session will provide you and your child the opportunity to learn more about the services and supports available throughout the school year. The Alaqsite'w Gitpu School is hosting a bottle drive in these days leading up to Earth Day, April 22nd. The class with the most bottles collected will win a pizza party generously donated by Mr. Chad. Bottles only. No cans, please. Let's work together to keep our planet and community clean. This Earth Day, we want to hear our students' ideas on how to make AGS a greener school. How can we reduce our waste? Improve our recycling efforts? Use energy more sustainably? Each class is invited to create a one-page proposal by Earth Day, April 22nd, and submit it to Ms. Joanna.

The Alaqsite'w Gitpu School has rescheduled Siggw Culture Day to Friday, April 10th. The community is welcome to join us in the gym at 10:00 a.m. to cheer on our dancers and drummers.

We're taking Graduation photos this Thursday, March 19, 2026 for Nursery and Grade 8. This is the only time available for photos, and there will be no retakes. All attire is provided, cap, gown, shirts, etc.

The Alaqsite'w Gitpu School is hosting a Book Fair from March 16th to 20th. The Book Fair will be open to the public during school operating hours. We're once again looking for book fairies to help make this event a successs. What is a Book Fairy? Book fairies are parents, grandparents or businesses who want to make a donation to the book fair.
