If a student begins to show one or a combination of COVID symptoms while in attendance at AGS:
the student will be taken to the self-isolation room and the parent will be contacted to pick up their child
AGS will administer a rapid test if parental consent has been given
If the student tests positive, the student will isolate for 10 days
If the student tests negative, the parent will be instructed to get a PCR test
If AGS does not have parental consent to administer a rapid test, the parent is instructed to get a PCR test
If the student tests positive:
The student will isolate for 10 days
The class list will be sent to the Listuguj Testing Center
The classroom teacher will notify parents of the exposure and that they will be contacted by the Listuguj Testing Center to schedule a PCR test
The results will be shared with the school Principal
Students who test negative can return to School
If needed, Listuguj Medical Transportation will provide transportation to the Listuguj Testing Center. Parents are to make those arrangements by calling 506-789-3143.
If there are two or more confirmed tests in a class, all students in that class will be sent home pending instructions from Quebec Public Health. During this time, students will be provided home learning.
