Updated AGS Exposure Protocol

Updated: Jan 31, 2022

If a student begins to show one or a combination of COVID symptoms while in attendance at AGS:

  • the student will be taken to the self-isolation room and the parent will be contacted to pick up their child

  • AGS will administer a rapid test if parental consent has been given

    • If the student tests positive, the student will isolate for 10 days

    • If the student tests negative, the parent will be instructed to get a PCR test

  • If AGS does not have parental consent to administer a rapid test, the parent is instructed to get a PCR test

If the student tests positive:

  • The student will isolate for 10 days

  • The class list will be sent to the Listuguj Testing Center

  • The classroom teacher will notify parents of the exposure and that they will be contacted by the Listuguj Testing Center to schedule a PCR test

    • The results will be shared with the school Principal

    • Students who test negative can return to School

    • If needed, Listuguj Medical Transportation will provide transportation to the Listuguj Testing Center. Parents are to make those arrangements by calling 506-789-3143.

If there are two or more confirmed tests in a class, all students in that class will be sent home pending instructions from Quebec Public Health. During this time, students will be provided home learning.
