Introduction

The purpose is to assist Listuguj Mi’gmaq members in their efforts to gain access to post-secondary education as a means to meet long term career goals in an ever changing labour market.

Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government (LMG), through the Listuguj Education Directorate (LED), provides financial assistance to eligible students so that they may attend eligible post-secondary institutions that offer certificate, diploma or degree programs.

Post- Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP)

The objective of PSSSP is to improve the employability of students and provide them with access to education and skill development opportunities at the post-secondary level.

The program is expected to increase post-secondary enrollment and graduation rate among First Nations Students.

University and College Entrance Preparation Program (UCEPP)

The objective of the UCEPP is to provide support to enable students to attain the academic level required for entrance to degree, certificate and diploma programs.

The program is expected to increase the number of First Nation students with the essential academic level required for entrance to post-secondary programs.

The Listuguj PSSSP Guidelines and Procedures Manual are consistent with the Indigenous Service Canada’s PSSSP and UCEP National Guidelines 2020-2021, as amended from time to time.
