Incentives & Scholarships
In recognition of academic achievement, the LED/LMG may award additional financial awards March of every year, if budget permits.
7.1 Post-Secondary Graduation Incentive
Students who have completed their program are eligible to receive the Graduation Incentive. To be eligible students;
Program must be fully funded by PS
Must have completed an eligible program
Provide copy of certification/diploma/degree to the PS Manager
7.2 Academic Achievement Scholarship
(High School Students only) on nominal roll
Every year a local High School Student with the highest overall average, and attending post-secondary in the fall, will be awarded the Jack Wysote Memorial Scholarship, valued at $2400. Recipient will be announced at the Annual Graduation Banquet.
7.3 Strategic Studies Scholarships
Students who are currently receiving financial support under the PSSSP and who are enrolled as full-time students in a program of studies determined to be in demand locally, regionally or nationally are eligible for the Strategic Studies Scholarships.
The amount of the scholarships awarded may be up to a maximum of $3,500 annually.
Eligibility for the scholarship will be conditional upon successful completion of one year of the program of study and continuation in it. The scholarship will be awarded annually at the beginning of each year and thereafter in accordance with the length of the program as defined in Limits of Assistance in section 6.2.1. of Indigenous Service Canada (ISC) Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP) and University and College Entrance Preparation Program (UCEPP): National Program Guidelines.
