New AGS Cellphone Policy

The Listuguj Education Department and Alaqsite’w Gitpu School are implementing a new Student Cell Phone Policy for the upcoming school year.


Our goal is to support student engagement, academic success, and social-emotional development by reducing digital distractions and encouraging the safe and responsible use of cellphones.


Technology can be a powerful tool for learning, and we remain committed to age-appropriate use of technology to help students become strong digital citizens.


This policy also aims to educate students about their responsibilities when it comes to the use of information and communication technologies, both in and out of the classroom.


Cellphones may be used:

  • Before and after school

  • During recess and lunch

  • When silent and stored in designated areas

  • For medical purposes or emergencies

  • As part of a planned activity that promotes safe and responsible digital use


We appreciate the cooperation of students, parents, and guardians as we work together to create a learning environment that supports focus, connection, and growth.
