AGS Staff Take Part in KAIROS Blanket Exercise

As part of Wednesday's professional development day, Alaqsite'w Gitpu School staff took part in the KAIROS Blanket Exercise (KBE). This unique and interactive experience explores the history and impacts of colonization on Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island.

"Without a shared understanding of how our collective past brought us to where we are today, we will not be able to walk together into a better future," KBE Community Protocols.

After the exercise, staff gathered in small groups to reflect on what they had learned and how it impacted each of them. This experience has strengthened our commitment to understanding, reconciliation, and building a more inclusive and respectful future together.
