Listing shared free quality digital resources to implement in your classrooms.

Introduction

These resources have been created, translated, revised, scanned, re-interpreted, or re-illustrated to accommodate our needs. ​​Please note that these free resources listed are created as derivative work for collective knowledge, by the Listuguj Education Directorate, our teachers, staff and knowledgeable individuals. In good faith to restore or preserve the work and language and to accommodate needs. They are not free of mistakes, we want to aim for excellence with your help.

Copyrights

Some may or may not have copyrights to them as they are from Listuguj Education Archives that may originate form oral stories/studies or teaching materials (that may be irrelevant to current information available). We are not responsible for the accuracy of said information. Our main objective is to restore or preserve the work and language and to accommodate needs.

Steps taken to restore or preserve the work and language:

Archiving: the act of scanning and projecting said materials to listing a collection, and making them publicly available, means does so solely for collective knowledge, as backup purposes in case the source copy is lost, damaged or otherwise rendered unusable.
 

We identify, the sources of the work in good faith, to honour and respect the copyrights owners. We try to identify closely (where possible):

Who may be involved in the creation of the work; to sites, sources, publishers, authors, Illustrators, recorders, knowledgeable individuals, language keepers, elders, etc.

 

Who may be participated to modification/adaptation of the work: translators, community members, knowledgeable individuals, language keepers, elders, teachers or staff, and who are where part of the groups that verify/vetting process. ​​

The publishers/ sources that may be used in this listing such as : readinga-z , Scholastics, Robert Munsch, or others. Naming only a few of the sources of the most translated materials.

 

The pictures that may be used in this listing maybe directly from readinga-z.com, freepik.com, pexels.com, unsplash.com, pngwave.com, canva or others. Any commercial use is forbidden. Note that the fair dealing for these materials are for the purpose of research, private study, education, parody or satire and does not infringe copyright.

As well as when was the public date (where possible), and last update on this listing (including changes/edits).

We are a Indigenous Educational Institution, under non-profits organizations. All new works are automatically copyrighted by the Canadian copyright law. All the items are distributed for personal use only, and for educational purposes only. Any Commercial use is forbidden, do not resale. 

​Accessibility

There might be different formats and sizes versions of the same document available or can be made at the request to meet accessibility standards. (Examples; poster, booklets, flashcards, quiz, activity, using certain font, visuals/audio, etc.)​ Some versions or documents may only be available thru the educators login (Microsoft, Teams and Channels, Sharepoint).

These resources can be implemented outdoors for land-based education. It is important to be mindful when bringing students out onto the land, including respectfully offering tobacco. For those adapting these to their communities, it is important to engage a knowledge keeper familiar with the land and territory.​
